Long time no blog...

Hello everyone,
So I guess the last Blog I posted was in early February - Tina and I took our kids to Disneyland where we walked more miles than I care to tally.  I don't remember being that sore in a while (even working out in the gym on weights).  I got off my routine for about a week - and missed it!!  I started back this week and tried a Pilates and Yoga class.  If you have never done it I strongly recommend it - I am a full time member at 24hr fitness and I was thrilled that they offered the classes.

What a workout/cleansing!  It was wonderful.  I weighed in again and lost 2.5 lbs ~ can't complain it's a loss :o)  I haven't been as disciplined as I should be but I am finding a good balance!

I hope everyone is doing well and I'll be in touch soon.

Slight differences

My big issue right now is finding an "honest" scale!!  I guess if we are being honest I have to get a grip on the fact that what I see may be the honest answer!!  So here is the background.  I began weighing in at the woman's gym that I was a member at - there scale wasalways 3-5 lbs lighter than any other scale I weighed in on so why not take that number?? Right??  Not so right I have weighed myself on 3 other scales to find out that I am not 191 Lbs but rather 197-198 Lbs a little disappointing, but better to know the truth and still ecstatic that I'm under 200 Open-mouthed!  I just have to keep plugging away - I see my goal weight for March getting farther and farther out of my grasp but I have not lost hop - I am going to focus on my number and keep being good to me - while staying realistic!!  I hope everyone is doing great on their results and I'll be intouch!

Getting back on track . . .

So I have falling off the workout wagon this past week - no excuses . . . I just didn't do it Sad  I have re-centered myself and my sidekick has inspired me to hit it hard Wink  So Tina and I are back in the gym together tonight and hopefully every night this week.  I'm watching the days get crossed off on my calendar and my goal is fast approaching - I need to stay focused and keep believing in myself . . . my goal is realistic - I refuse to sabotage myself - I deserve this!!!

The scale has been honest which gave me a shake! I'm looking to lose roughly 18 lbs in 32 days Confused I have faith!!

Work hard and be good to myself is going to be my motto -

Thank god february has an extra day this year LOL!!

Tina's Blog

Tina here........well, things are still going well...Mr Scale budges a fraction of a pound on a regular basis...up and down!!  I think I retain a lot of water weight...so what should I do? stop drinking it??  But I refuse to let this bother me any longer!  I decided to up my workouts so that I burn 100-200+ more calories.  What I really need (and enjoy) are aerobics classes - I am on the lookout for some gyms that offer them.  My husband wants me to join his gym, and they have classes (plus a nice family discount too!).  Allison and I checked out 24 Hour Fitness, and she joined..it was a great deal, and I got 14 free day passes.  I currently have a contract at another much smaller gym, so I can't afford hers - but might join my husband's.  So, check this out....I belong to one gym, will belong to another, and have a fitness room where I live.  Gyms everywhere!  Each have they're own qualities....one has proximity, one has free tanning and sauna, one is with Hubby!

There's still a marked difference in my clothes and body..although I think my booty is getting rounder and firmer, so it might take a little more space in my pants!!  An aspect I think I can live with.Wink

All is well, but I wish the scale would move faster.  But yet again, I am in no rush - as long as I know that I am doing what I have to do everyday until I can no longer do what I do to maintain my body.

It's gonna get more intense . . .

You are probably wondering why?  Well I have started back up at school full time (12 credits) work my job and try to make the gym a priority - this may actually work out for the better; I was telling Tina that since my gym days are split up I feel like I can do more for longer without getting tired.  So I used to gym every weekday and take the weekends off, well now I have to gym M,W, F, and the weekend to get my 5 days due to school on T and TH!!!  It's the first week so I'm sure I'll get used to the new schedule!!

One thing I have realized I hate the most about this is that I'm scared I'm forming bad habits for my daughter. Confused Typically I pick her up from daycare at 5pm, we go home get changed, I grab her a snack and we are at the gym by 5:35-5:45.  I let her be in the "kid zone" and I work out until 7-7:30.  Then we go home - I'm starving by that point and all she has had is a snack...so we don't eat until let's say 8pm.  The she gets a bath and off to bed by 9:15!!  But the alternative of me not going is NOT an option and if I make her dinner at home before we go I cut my work out short (my gym closes at 8pm- plus I don't want to be there all hours of the night).  So this is something that I have to deal with and realize that I am NOT ruining Maddie's life - but I have to be selfish right now - - this is my time and I have to take it!!!

I have been craving bad things, because I'm starting to PMS, I have tried really hard to control and monitor the cravings (because I refuse to deprive myself of anything), but this past 4 days have been filled with more sugar and chocolate than the past month - crazy huh?? Sarcastic  We have a weekly weigh in meeting at work and I gained a pound this week so I know what I have to do at the gym this weekend!  I know it'll all even out - I just hope that I continue to lose next weekSun

Have a great weekend!

Allie
